Equity for All People...

In the world today, half the world has less than 1% of global wealth. Life expectancy averages 70 years for the world but is only 48 years in Africa. More than 40% of the world does not have access to clean water.

We can build an equitable world when we find the right balance between the needs of the individual and the needs for all. We must do so in a manner that is fair to all parties and is dictated by reason and conscience.

We must begin by ensuring that the world has basic human rights as declared by the UN Declaration on Human Rights. We must add to these the right of access toinformation, capital and opportunity.

Our world has to learn to equitably share resources and to harmoniously coexist with our environment. We have to balance the rights and obligations of all and temper our actions with humility, mercy, justice and compassion.
